Three New Hair Products I Love

Hair Pic

Ok. I couldn’t do a hair post without some gratuitous hair shots and me looking silly…..

Hairpics-4shot

Phew! Now that’s out of the way,  I can get on with the serious business of talking about my new hair finds; the Goody Ouchless Paddle Brush, Marc Anthony’ 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo, and EVA Unbreakable Hair Oil Therapy!

First, a little back story: I recently broke my fave Goody hairbrush. It was also an Ouchless brush and I adored it. And then I broke it. See, I’ve started to go to the gym in recent months and now I travel with my personal care items and they often get jostled around or bumped during transit. Thus, Le Breakage. Thankfully Goody Canada has some awesome people managing their social media and noticed how upset I was. They sent me this new brush to try out !

Goody Paddle Brush

Also a result of working out in the mornings, I’m finding that my hair doesnt stay clean as long as it used to. Because I’ve got thick, coarse hair, I’ve never washed it everyday. I was trying to find a way to not wash every time I was at the gym, but also have it manageable throughout the week; enter Marc Anthony Dry Shampoo!

Dry Shampoo

At the same time I started going to the gym (see – it all ties back to getting fit and healthy!) I started to grow my hair out. My very dry, very processed, hair. There’s not one hair on my head that hasnt been dyed at least twice (those are the lucky ones). The longer my hair got, the more I noticed the damage to the ends from all my colouring and flat ironing and I looked for a hair treatment to help. And then I found this E.V.A oil at Winners….score!

EVA Oil

Here are my highlights for each:

Goody Brush

  • Lightweight (important when blow drying)
  • Comfortable handle
  • Ouchless!
  • Brushes through my thick hair without breakage

Marc Anthony Dry Shampoo

  • This dry shampoo is clear! This is great with my darker hair
  • Has a scent that I don’t mind, but it disappears quickly, which is good
  • Doesn’t make my hair feel like I have extra product in it
  • The bottle lasted longer than other aerosol dry shampoos I’ve tried

EVA Oil Therapy

  • Made with a lightweight vegetable protein called Kervais protein
  • Also has Argan oil so it smells amazing!
  • Leaves my hair soft, but not greasy
  • No parabens or artificial colours
  • No testing on animals
  • A drop goes a long way so this bottle should last me fo-eva

Do you have any new products you’re in love with? Are you changing up your hair routine for the summer? Lemme know!

5-minute Face Using Arbonne Cosmetics

Last night I was asked to teach a class on how to use the Arbonne cosmetics in everyday life. I love these products so I was happy to do so! Below is the video I used to help show how I use the products for a natural, everyday makeup application. You can also visit Arbonne’s new interactive website for more info on the cosmetics line: www.arbonne.ca/arbonnecosmetics

Arbonne Cosmetics Line

Arbonne Cosmetics

There are a few things about Arbonne cosmetics that makes them not just another makeup line; in addition to having all the same great ingredient policies as the rest of the Arbonne products, they also have something called “Opti-Light” technology. This is something Arbonne has created to give a soft-focus finish to all the powders and foundations.  The cosmetics diffuse light on the skin and make it appear more even and smooth. Awesome!

I like to refer to the cosmetics as “beauty with benefits” because as well as having great pigment, being long-wearing, being non-comedogenic, organic, and gluten free, it also has anti-aging botanicals to actually improve the skin while you’re wearing it. The lip balm has vitamin A and E and wild mango butter and the foundations have vitamins A, C, E and a slew of other botanicals. The result is light-weight makeup that is super blendable and breathable.

So here is my 5-minute face using the Arbonne Cosmetics a.k.a Beauty with Benefits! A list of the products I used can be found beneath this video. Enjoy!

PRODUCTS USED:
Makeup Primer: $45
Crème Concealer in Medium: $32
Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Neutral Beige: $52
Sheer Pressed Powder in Medium: $45
Eye Liner in Cocoa: $25

Bronzer: $39
Blush in Blossom: $35
Before Sun Lip Saver: $10
Lip Polish in Brown Sugar: $30

Oh my gosh IMATS is this weekend! When did that happen?!

I have been SO busy that I havent even had a chance to properly put my wish list together.
